Wyndham Clark continued his good recent form after carding a four-under 68 on day two of the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club.
After an up-and-down first round, Clark steadied the ship nicely during Friday’s play and dropped just one shot, coming on sixth.
Fans have criticised Clark’s form in 2024, but the 2023 US Open champion has proved his doubters wrong and is well-placed in the FedEx Cup standings ahead of the Tour Championship.
However, there’s work to do for Clark in Colorado if he’s to chase down second-round pacesetter Adam Scott.
Wyndham Clark shares verdict on Adam Scott’s stunning second round at the BMW Championship

Scott carded a nine-under bogey-free 62 to take control of the tournament and massively boost his FedEx Cup chances.
Clark, speaking after his round, claimed the Aussie’s score was more than gettable in the favourable conditions.
“I mean, it was out there,” said Clark. “Shoot, I made those three birdie putts on the back nine that were all right around 10 feet. To shoot a 7-under round, that’s only a couple off what he did.”
He added: “But yeah, anytime someone shoots nine—or ten-under, it shows that the course is playable. I’m hoping tomorrow I’ll go out a little earlier and maybe shoot one of those good rounds.”
Wyndham Clark and Adam Scott ones to watch at the Tour Championship
Due to the nature of the playoff format, Scott is set to receive a massive boost to his ranking should he continue his current trajectory.
The Aussie is set to jump an astonishing 37 places up to fourth in the rankings, with only Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama above him.
Clark is projected to drop just one spot at the moment, but the American was never at any risk of missing next week’s event in Atlanta.
The FedEx Cup rewards those who can peak at the right time, and right now, Clark and Scott could be two names that are firmly in contention at East Lake.
