Wyndham Clark has made a claim about Scottie Scheffler’s golf swing, which he believes might come as a shock as the Presidents Cup gets underway in Montreal.

Scheffler’s methods saw him bank over $60 million in 2024 and become the dominant force on the PGA Tour.

Scheffler’s club face control has been praised this year, but the American’s unique foot movement sometimes detracts from the brilliance of his ball-striking.

Now, speaking before the Presidents Cup, Clark has made a shock admission about Scheffler’s swing.

Clark, who automatically qualified for Jim Furyk’s 12-man United States Team, was asked whose swing he was most jealous of.

“On our team? Yeah, I mean, might shock you, but I love Scottie’s swing,” Clark said.

“I think he has the best setup and face control on our team and in the world. Even though he has crazy foot action, I love what he does with the club and how his body moves.”

Scottie Scheffler’s swing also gets Tiger Woods’ approval

Earlier on in the year, 15-time major winner Tiger Woods also cast his view on Scheffler’s technique.

“Obviously, Scottie’s not as long as Rory, and he probably can’t separate himself on a golf course like that with pure length, but his ball striking and the amount of greens he hits, he just wears you out that way,” said Woods.

“And then he has an amazing pair of hands around the greens If he putts awful, then he finishes in top ten, he putts decent he wins, he putts great, he runs away. He’s just that good a ball striker.”

Those who have watched Scheffler up close will be acutely aware of just how good his ball striking is. There are very few players with the same level of consistency, and as Woods says, his tee-to-green play is often enough to see the American contend week in and week out.
