Patrick Reed is lighting up the professional golfing scene right now, with two wins and a second place in his last three DP World Tour starts.
Reed is now ranked 17th in the world after his incredible start on the DP World in 2026.
It came as a huge shock to golf fans and players alike when Reed left LIV Golf two weeks ago.

It was then announced that the 35-year-old American would be granted access back to the PGA Tour.
LIV Golf must be absolutely kicking themselves for allowing the 2018 Masters champion’s contract to run down.
After Reed’s win at the Qatar Masters, it’s fair to say that he is one of the two hottest golfers in the game right now, alongside Chris Gotterup.
It feels like a real shame that we won’t see him back on the PGA Tour until August 26th at the earliest.

Reed has always backed himself as one of the best golfers in the world.
Who could forget way back in 2014 when he was just 23 years old and he claimed he was one of the best five golfers on the planet, after winning the WGC-Cadillac Championship?
“I believe in myself, especially with how hard I’ve worked. I’m one of the top five players in the world,“ Reed said.
“I feel like I’ve proven myself.“
While he received plenty of criticism for those remarks, it’s fair to argue that he is definitely a top 10 player in the world.
Some golf fans dislike Reed due to some of the controversy he’s been embroiled in on the golf course throughout the years.
However, whether you love him, hate him or are indifferent towards him, what cannot be denied is that when he plays, he attracts eyeballs to the sport.
And those who do love watching Reed play golf will now see him in action on the PGA Tour BEFORE his ban expires…

While Reed is banned from playing on the PGA Tour until August 26th, he does have full playing rights on the DP World Tour.
And as a result of his status on the DP World Tour, the 35-year-old will actually get to play a PGA Tour event in July.

That’s because The Genesis Scottish Open, which takes place at the Renaissance Club from July 9th to the 12th, is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.
The interesting thing is that links golf suits Reed, given his incredible ability to work his ball both ways and keep it low underneath the wind.
It feels like it’s written in the stars that Reed will win on the PGA Tour before his ban has officially expired!
That would be a very Patrick Reed thing to do, wouldn’t it?
The American has been proving people wrong throughout his entire career.
And it won’t be long before we see him win again on the PGA Tour, there is no question about that.
