Patrick Reed won his second DP World Tour event in his last three starts at the Qatar Masters on Sunday.
Reed has begun 2026 in sensational form, with two wins and a second place finish in his first three events on the DP World Tour.
It was 11 days ago now when Reed left LIV Golf, after announcing that he planned to return to the PGA Tour.

He's certainly not the most popular player in the game…
However, the 35-year-old American is prohibited from playing on the PGA Tour until August of this year.
As a result, he will be playing pretty much exclusively on the DP World Tour this year.
LIV Golf allowing Reed to run his contract down was quite clearly a massive mistake.
His golf at the start of 2026 has proven that.

Reed won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic two weeks ago and then finished second at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship seven days later.
And then on Sunday, the 2018 Masters champion reigned supreme in Qatar, after securing a two-shot victory following rounds of 65, 67, 70, and 70.
Reed was asked how he feels about his game right now, after starting the 2026 season on fire.
“Yeah, you know, it wasn’t looking very good on the front nine, and to lose the lead like that, then to, you know, kind of flip the switch there on the back nine.
“You know, obviously it felt amazing and this little run I had, you know, two wins and a second, it’s awesome.
“I mean, I love the way the game feels and yeah, I couldn’t be more proud of my team and my family back home, I mean, for pulling all nighters and all the grinding we’ve done this off season.
“So, yeah, it’s special to come out here, especially to get two wins early on in the season. Hopefully, there’s a lot more to come.“
Reed then admitted that he really struggled with his putting during his final round in Qatar.
“I just needed a putt to go in,“ the American said.
“I mean, I had 18 putts on the front nine. Yesterday, I had 33 putts, so I felt like I was hitting the ball fine.
“And so, I felt like when we kind of made the turn, went to the back nine, I knew we had to get on 10 there being downwind and at that point, you know, we were chasing at that point.
“I just decided to go for it and, you know, just trust in the putter and trust in the process and we were able to get it done.“

Reed was asked whether he could have dreamt of a better start to the 2026 season.
“No,“ Reed exclaimed.
“I mean, I felt like the game was really solid and you, I knew I loved Dubai. I’ve played there before, I’ve played well there.

“To get the first win there and then really to have a chance there last week (in Bahrain) and unfortunately not to be able to close it off, but then to come in this week and close it off, especially as we had a lot of adversity today.
“And to be able to play bogey-free here on the back nine was a special.
“It’s always on your radar (winning the Race to Dubai).
“Trust me, you’d rather be in the lead rather than hunting and chasing.
“And so for me, you know, it’s always been one of those things, you know, it’s always been a dream of mine to be an American and come out here and win the Race to Dubai and hey, we’re off to a fast start.“
It would take a brave man to back against Reed winning the Race to Dubai this season.
One thing’s for sure, Rory McIlroy has his work cut out if he is to equal Colin Montgomerie’s DP World Tour Order of Merit record this year.
