Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau will look horns in the final round of a major championship once more, this time at The Masters.

Grant Horvat said The Masters was ‘over’ after McIlroy clinched his second eagle of his third round on the 15th.

But DeChambeau fired in a lengthy birdie putt on the 18th to keep the leader in check, with McIlroy entering Sunday two shots clear.

McIlroy made Masters history at the beginning of his third round, which included another eagle at Augusta National.

Continuing his search for a first win at The Masters, he leads the way on 12-under, and is paired with DeChambeau for the final round.

And in true DeChambeau fashion, rather than lying low after his impressive Saturday display, he headed back to the range.

In fact, as shared by LIV Golf on X, the American was out practising with five bags of range balls after his round.

And that has been a similar theme for the LIV Golf star at Augusta National this week, with DeChambeau having undoubtedly been the busiest player on the range.

Many eyes were on McIlroy on Saturday as he produced an unstoppable performance early on in Georgia.

He would complete his round with two eagles, helping score back-to-back 66s after his 72 in the first round.

But DeChambeau certainly made his presence felt at Augusta, with patrons absolutely loving the show he was putting on in round three.

The fan favourite now has two rounds of 69 to his name from Thursday and Saturday, which came either side of a 68.

Their final round pairing will, of course, bring about memories of the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst last summer.

Despite McIlroy looking likely of ending his major championship drought, it was DeChambeau who clinched a one-shot win in dramatic fashion.
