Bryson DeChambeau has made a superb start to his latest Masters start, sitting T5 after the first round of action.

DeChambeau made Augusta patrons go ‘nuts’ earlier in the week, before he took on the iconic Georgian course in tournament action.

And the LIV Golf star really impressed in his opening round at The Masters, with DeChambeau carding a three-under 69.

He is joined in that position by fellow LIV Golf player Tyrrell Hatton, with the pair four shots behind leader Justin Rose.

Rose carded a stunning seven-under 65 on day one, with Scottie Scheffler three shots behind in joint second.

DeChambeau meanwhile wasted no time in pondering his opening round score, even with it being a positive one.

Where does Bryson DeChambeau rank for birdies, pars and bogeys on Masters day one?

DeChambeau had been drawing plenty of eyes in the lead up to Augusta National, having finally found some form right before The Masters.

The Crushers GC captain occupies 15th place in the LIV Golf individual standings, where he had failed to break the top five in the early stages of the season.

DeChambeau had posted finishes of T6, T18, T20 and T10 before LIV Golf Miami, where the American finished fifth.

And he now occupies the same position at The Masters, albeit level with Hatton, having particularly impressed on the birdie front.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, it was the breakout leader Rose who posted the most birdies on day one, with the Englishman carding eight on Thursday at Augusta.

Rose also made nine pars, but frustratingly ended his phenomenal opening round with a bogey on the very last hole.
