The inaugural PGA Creator Classic gets underway on Wednesday, and YouTube star Wesley Bryan has been involved in some last-minute drama after a social media post emerged online.
The Creator Classic is a brand-new nine-hole event, which will allow YouTube golf’s finest to test their skills on East Lake’s revamped back nine. Upon the PGA Tour announcing the event, LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau asked for an invite.
The format will see holes 10 through 17 played before the four lowest scores compete in a one-hole playoff to decide the winner.
However, on the eve of the tournament, Bryan took aim at the PGA Tour’s X account after a ‘Power Rankings’ piece was posted.
Wesley Bryan slams PGA Tour media post ahead of the Creator Classic

George Bryan IV – Wesley’s brother – has been a professional since 2010 and has two wins to his name. Furthermore, Bryan IV has previously competed on the Web.com Tour. In the Bryan Bros ‘Major Cut’ series, George regularly shoots better rounds than current PGA Tour professional, Wesley.
Garrett Clark [GM Golf] has backed George to win the Creator Classic. The PGA Tour, however, appears to be less confident about his chances.
The PGA Tour reposted a piece from Golf Bet that labelled the ‘Power Rankings’ of the players competing in the Creator Classic; George was ranked seventh.
And Wesley wasn’t best pleased with the PGA Tour’s media team.
“I don’t know who @Golfbet is, and I don’t know who at PGA Tour approved this article,” Bryan wrote on X. “Everyone involved should be ashamed….don’t think for a second you can put George at #7 and expect me to not go headhunting. The @PGATOUR media team is lost, with no chance to recover from this.”
Wesley Bryan appears to be distancing himself from the PGA Tour
Most professional golfers dream of gaining a PGA Tour card, competing in the majors, and making a living out of playing golf around the world.
Bryan, however, appears to be at a loss with the PGA and is more focused on his YouTube commitments. Currently, the Bryan Bros and Grant Horvat are embarking on the ‘Major Cut’ series, which sees the trio try and make the cut at major championship venues.
Bryan has previously claimed he’s focused on YouTube, and he seems to be enjoying making social media content alongside his brother and Horvat.
The Bryan Bros channel currently has 413,000 subscribers and continues to grow as YouTube golf becomes a fixture of fans’ golf intake.
