PGA Tour starts were always going to come at a premium for Wesley Bryan this year after he lost his full status in 2024.

Bryan lost his PGA Tour card after failing to make the cut at the RSM Classic, the final event of the FedEx Cup Fall stretch. Starting the week on the bubble, Bryan struggled at Sea Island Golf Club and eventually finished three over.

This year, the YouTube star has relied on sponsors’ exemptions and alternate spots, and Bryan even travelled to the Mexico Open only to miss out on the field.

Unfortunately for the American, yet more disappointment has emerged.

Bryan would have fancied his chances of making the field at next week’s Puerto Rico Open, with most of the big-name players taking time off before the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship.

However, the YouTuber was not part of the confirmed field at Grand Reserve Golf Club, nor was he an alternate.

Taking to X after the field was announced, Bryan was unsurprisingly disappointed.

“Back to my 2nd job, I reckon,” the 34-year-old wrote on X after finding out the latest PGA Tour field.

Wesley Bryan’s 2025 PGA Tour record

Bryan has played two events so far in 2025: The American Express and Farmers Insurance Open.

Bryan was left to rue a first-round 75 in La Quinta and missed the 54-hole cut at PGA West after posting back-to-back rounds of 71.

While at PGA West, Bryan managed to film a YouTube video for his channel. The American attempted to shoot 59 while giving himself an unlimited number of mulligans.

Bryan did have some success at the Farmers Insurance Open and was firmly in contention before he shot 76 in the final round at Torrey Pines. He eventually finished in a tie for sixth and earned $75,000 in the process.
