Tyrrell Hatton is among the players to have impressed on day two of the US Open, with the Englishman carding an even-par 70.
Hatton struggled in practice at Oakmont ahead of the US Open, before opening at the major with a three-over 73.
But his score of three-over from Thursday and Friday was more than enough to make the weekend at Oakmont in Pennsylvania.
Hatton is one of 14 LIV Golf players aiming for US Open success, although he has a long way to go if he is to truly contend on Saturday and Sunday.
He entered the third major of the 2025 season sitting 22nd in the LIV Golf individual standings, having just finished T15 in Virginia.

Tyrrell Hatton shares honest Oakmont verdict after US Open second round
Hatton labelled the Oakmont rough ‘mad’ after seeing it for the first time, with the Englishman sharing another verdict on the course right after his second round.
As per LIV Golf on X, the Legion XIII player said: “I mean, sometimes it feels like the greens, you have a little bit of an optical illusion, where you expect it to be so fast because you’re… the first part of the cut is… there’s so much break on it, you’re putting up the slope, and then it’s coming with the slope, so you expect it to be really quick.

“Yeah so it’s hard to get the line and pace there. But the rough is pretty brutal. It almost feels like a penalty shot when you’re in it like… which is just how it is this week.
“It’s hard to hit the fairways anyway because they’re so slopey, and it’s unfortunate that even if you land in the fairways here it can run off into the rough. That’s one of the challenges I guess.”
Tyrrell Hatton says if he’s excited to have made the cut at the US Open
Many of Hatton’s fellow LIV Golf professionals were not so successful in the early stages at Oakmont this week.
Several high-profile names from across LIV Golf and the PGA Tour failed to get to grips with the challenges in play, particularly the thick rough.
Hatton was also in danger of an early collapse, having carded two bogeys and two double bogeys on Thursday.
But he bounced back with a more satisfactory round on Friday, which included an eagle on the par-five 12th.
He will, however, still want to improve upon his four bogeys, having also fallen victim to the unforgiving rough in his second round.
Asked if he’s excited for the weekend at the US Open, he responded: “It’s just another day, another day playing golf. We’ll go out there, try our best and see what happens.”
