Tom Kim starred during Monday evening’s TGL fixture between Jupiter Links GC and Boston Common Golf Club.

Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links clinched victory after Kevin Kisner beat Adam Scott in a chip-off at the SoFi Centre. However, it was Kim who stole the show.

The South Korean appears ready-made for the tech-infused venture and has provided energy that has not yet been seen in the league. With entertainment at the core of TGL, some of its players could learn a thing or two from the 22-year-old.

Kim has been one of the most active players on the PGA Tour in 2025, which makes his enthusiasm for TGL even more impressive.

Speaking after the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he is firmly in contention, Kim was asked whether the TGL has negatively impacted his PGA Tour preparations.

“No, I don’t think so; I haven’t really had that big of an adjustment. I think TGL was really fun to play in Monday, we had a really good night,” Kim said.

“Obviously, it’s across the country, but it’s kind of nice just to be in a team environment and kind of let loose before going on this stretch.”

He added: “You know, I feel like it differs, but I’m very technical at times, but I’m also very feel oriented at times. I think I do a really good balance of it. If today was 70 per cent technical or 30 per cent feel, tomorrow, I’m definitely starting to be 60 more feel and technical. It’s not really what’s heavier; it’s just per day how I feel. I feel like my awareness is pretty high where I know when to switch on and off.”

Tom Kim in contention at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

After Kim finished second at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, his form has not been overly impressive.

A missed cut at The American Express followed a T65 at the Sony Open. But, at Pebble Beach, Kim has finally found form.

Kim’s 65 (seven under) was one of the standout scores on day two, and he finds himself four shots back of leader Sepp Straka (14 under).

The 22-year-old made birdies on two, three and four before picking up four more shots on his back nine. Justin Rose, Austin Eckroat, Andrew Novak and Tony Finau are all level with Kim on ten under.
