Jupiter Links Golf Club saw their maiden TGL season end on Tuesday evening as Atlanta Drive GC ran out 9-1 winners.

However, for Tiger Woods—part of Jupiter Links GC—the tech-infused league has been invaluable ahead of a potential PGA Tour return.

The 15-time major winner is eager to play more frequently in 2025 and was scheduled to play the Genesis Invitational before the sad passing of his mother, Kultida. There were some suggestions Woods could feature at The Players Championship, but such an eventuality feels unlikely at present.

Nonetheless, the TGL has kept the former world number one within a competitive setting, and Woods has posted some impressive ball speeds, particularly with his driver.

In fact, Woods’ new big stick could be to thank for the numbers he’s posted at the SoFi Centre.

Taylormade’s new QI35 driver is now the go-to driver on the PGA Tour, and Woods believes the club is aiding his game.

“Yeah, I’ve picked up maybe one or two miles an hour on it. It’s definitely more stable,” Woods said when asked about the QI35.

“Honestly, I haven’t done a whole lot of practicing. Once I start dialling it in here – most of my shots are with a cut, so maybe I need to monkey around with some settings and be able to have the option to both turn it over.”

Tiger Woods delivers PGA Tour return update

After Woods played the Seminole Pro-Member tournament on Monday, the 15-time major winner was also quizzed on when he could potentially return to the course.

“This is the third time I’ve touched a club since my mom passed, so I haven’t really gotten into it. My heart is not really into practicing right now. I’ve had so many other things to do with the Tour and trying to do other things,” Woods added.

“Once I start probably feeling a little bit better and start getting into it, I’ll start looking at the schedule.”

Jupiter Links Golf Club ended the TGL fifth in the standings and three points outside the playoff cut line. Woods’ team picked up just one victory, which came against the league’s bottom side, Boston Common Golf.

Xander Schauffele’s New York Golf Club confirmed the last playoff berth on Monday evening after beating Boston Common.

Elsewhere, Atlanta Drive GC ended the regular season in third with The Bay Golf Club just behind table-topping Los Angeles GC. Los Angeles GC will face New York GC in the semi-final, whilst The Bay GC will play Atlanta Drive GC.
