Justin Thomas missed out on winning the Hero World Challenge to Scottie Scheffler but Tiger Woods has delivered a positive assessment on the American’s chances for 2025.
Thomas has been fighting with some demons in his golf game for some time now but has worked hard in the off-season to be among the contenders in Albany this weekend.
In the end, Scheffler’s brilliance was too much as Thomas came home behind the world number one.
However, while the win was not there for Thomas, his good friend and golf legend, Tiger Woods, has predicted good things ahead for the two-time major winner.

Tiger Woods makes Justin Thomas claim after the Hero World Challenge
Speaking in the commentary booth on the back nine of the tournament, Woods got onto the topic of Thomas and his form and admitted that he’s seen this coming for a while.
“JT has been trending this way. He has been doing a lot of hard work this entire summer. It’s starting to click in here in the Fall. I think the work he has done is really going to pay dividends next year,” Woods said.
Commenting further on his relationship with Thomas off the course, Woods admitted that they’re still as close as ever and predicted family life to suit Thomas.
“He is like a little brother so I am just here if he needs someone to confide in. We talk a lot about a lot of different things and I am just here to help,” Woods added.
“I think it is going to be more special and more connected with his family going into next year. I think he is going to be more centred. I think having your first child changes your life 100% in a positive way.”
Thomas will produce the goods in 2025
At 31, Justin Thomas is very much still in the prime of his career and while he’s not had the success in the last few seasons, he knows what it takes to win.
With a Ryder Cup coming up and a place on the team to play for, Thomas will be keen to grind out results and impress Keegan Bradley.
Thomas left fans impressed by driving the green this weekend and Thomas has been tipped to be one to watch in 2025 by golf coach Simon Holmes.
2025, then, could well be the year we see ‘JT’ back in the winner’s circle.
