The 2024 PNC Championship had the attention of the golfing world on Sunday afternoon as Tiger Woods was involved in a dramatic playoff in Orlando.
Tiger and his son Charlie went head-to-head with Bernhard and Jason Langer, and the final round at Ritz-Carlton certainly delivered.
Charlie Woods’ hole-in-one on the fourth hole was the highlight of Sunday’s play. Langer also rolled back the years and holed the eagle putt on the 18th hole.
Furthermore, Tiger was blown away by a bunker shot Langer hit on the 14th. However, the German certainly used the scramble rules to his advantage.
Hank Haney reacts after Bernhard Langer sparks controversy at PNC Championship

The format allowed players to play from within one club length – no nearer the hole – from wherever their preferred ball finished.
On the 14th, Bernhard and Jason found themselves in the fairway bunker. The 67-year-old appeared to tee his ball up on a clump of sand, making his shot – with a driver – much more straightforward.
Now, Tiger Woods’ former coach, Hank Haney, has a question for the Champions Tour legend.
Haney wrote on X: “Was that a clump that happened to be within a club length of his ball and no closer to the hole?”
Controversial end to PNC Championship
Langer’s bunker shot wasn’t the only piece of controversy which occurred during the latter stages of the PNC Championship.
Golf fans took issue with where Langer was taking his tee shots from. With the German over 65, he was permitted to use the very front tees at Ritz-Carlton, something he used to his advantage on the 18th.
On the finishing hole, Langer was around 80 yards ahead of Tiger, who was playing from the back tees. The German also played shorter tees than Charlie and Jason.
The decision to give Langer an advantage comes just a month after he won the Champions Tour final.
