Play was suspended on day two of the Wyndham Championship due to inclement weather.
And numerous PGA Tour players decided to call it a day on Friday during the rain delay at the Wyndham Championship.
There are lots of exciting subplots at Sedgefield Country Club this week, including Jordan Spieth chasing a win in order to catapult himself into Ryder Cup contention.
Meanwhile, Cameron Young is leading the Wyndham Championship as he looks for his first ever PGA Tour win.
The scoring is very low this week, with Adam Scott predicting that 20-under par or lower will win the Wyndham Championship.
The course is in immaculate condition, and it will be there for the taking this weekend now.
And the field shrunk ever so slightly overnight.
Three players withdraw from the Wyndham Championship after rain delay
Certain players who weren’t at their best clearly weren’t prepared to hang around throughout the rain delay.

PGA Tour communications announced that three players called it quits when the rain began to hammer down on Sedgefield Country Club.
Erik van Rooyen, Isaiah Salinda and world number 38 Akshay Bhatia all decided to withdraw from the Wyndham Championship during the rain delay on Friday.
All three players were nowhere near the cut-line at the time of their withdrawals from the tournament.
Without being too cynical, it would have been interesting to see if the above players withdrew had they been well under par at the time of the delay.
Akshay Bhatia has been a huge disappointment this season
The 23-year-old is currently sitting in 44th spot in the FedEx Cup standings, so he’s already qualified for the first tournament of the play-offs.
However, Bhatia’s form in general this season has been hugely disappointing, especially after the success he achieved over the last two years with two victories.
| Results | Bhatia’s totals |
| Events played | 21 |
| Wins | 0 |
| Top-5s | 1 |
| Top-10s | 3 |
| Top-25s | 7 |
| Missed cuts | 5 |
| Withdrawals | 1 |
With results like that, Bhatia should consider himself lucky that he is inside the top 50 on the FedEx Cup points list.
Now he needs a strong finish in Memphis next week in order to keep his season alive, after his painful withdrawal from the Wyndham Championship.
