Scottie Scheffler will be absolutely vital for the United States at Bethpage Black later this month, as the Americans look to win the Ryder Cup for only the fourth time since 1999.
Scheffler is the world’s best golfer by quite some distance, and Keegan Bradley will be looking to him to set the tone for Team USA from his very first tee shot at the Ryder Cup in just under two weeks’ time.
The 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was in sensational form on the PGA Tour in 2025, with five wins to his name including two major championships.
Now he needs to show up at Bethpage and lead by example.
The key for Bradley will be to get the best out of the 18-time PGA Tour winner by finding the perfect partner for him.
It has been claimed that Scheffler will pair up with Russell Henley at the Ryder Cup but other options have been mooted as well.
Scheffler is incredibly excited to play in the Ryder Cup later this month in the cauldron that is Bethpage.
But the question remains, who will the world number one partner up with?

The great thing about Scheffler is that his outstanding quality means that he can play with anyone.
He partnered up with Bryson DeChambeau during the 2021 Ryder Cup and Sam Burns and Brooks Koepka in 2023 in Rome.
At the Presidents Cup in 2024 he played with Henley and Collin Morikawa and he paired up with Burns in 2022.
Scheffler is playing at the Procore Championship this week, and his practice round partners made for very interesting viewing.
The 29-year-old was spotted playing at the Silverado Resort in Napa alongside the aforementioned Henley and US Open champion J.J. Spaun.
Ryder Cup vice-captain Gary Woodland played alongside the trio, and he will obviously be reporting back to Bradley with his findings.

It’s common knowledge that Scheffler doesn’t possess the best Ryder Cup record.
That will all have to change if Team USA are to taste success at Bethpage this month.
