The Ryder Cup is quickly approaching, and Scottie Scheffler will be a key member of the US team at Bethpage Black in September.
Scheffler has enjoyed a fantastic 2025 season on the PGA Tour, so much so that he has accumulated nearly as many points in the Ryder Cup standings as the second, third and fourth players on the list combined.
The world number one is at East Lake for the Tour Championship this week, as well as many other players who will be at Bethpage Black, both American and European.
Keegan Bradley organised a team dinner at East Lake on Monday night for the players who have already qualified for the Ryder Cup team and those hoping to make the side.
Scheffler has already raved about Ryder Cup captain Bradley, highlighting how he has been way more involved in day-to-day life on the PGA Tour than previous captains have.

It was back in 2021 at Whistling Straits when Scheffler made his Ryder Cup debut.
And he will be desperate to improve upon his fairly underwhelming record in the competition at Bethpage next month.
Scottie Scheffler reveals how the Ryder Cup team are feeling after team dinner
Scheffler has one thing on his mind this week, and that will be winning the Tour Championship.
However, once his week at East Lake is finished, his attention will switch to the Ryder Cup.
The world number one spoke to Todd Lewis at East Lake on Wednesday about the PGA Tour finale, but then conversation inevitably turned towards the Ryder Cup.
Scheffler was asked what the current mood in the camp is ahead of the showdown with Europe at Bethpage.

He said: “I think we are excited. We are excited to get to Bethpage. Keegan has done an amazing job with our captainship. He has been tremendous. I have been blown away by the work he has done and the energy and passion that he brings.
“We are excited to go to Bethpage to play for him and play for our country. There is nothing like putting on the Stars and Stripes, there is no feeling like it in golf and we are excited.“
Harris English said what Scottie Scheffler was like in his first Ryder Cup
Scheffler made his debut at the Ryder Cup back in 2021 at Whistling Straits.
He was a captain’s pick at the time and during the build-up to the Ryder Cup, many people were questioning whether he should be on the team.
That is a crazy concept to comprehend now.
Harris English revealed what Scheffler was like during his debut four years ago at Whistling Straits.
“I knew Cantlay from our amateur days and got to know Xander better and I was being around Scottie. Scottie was like the controversial 12th pick of that Ryder Cup!
“I was actually at Harbour Town with Shane and we were sitting in the locker room talking about it and he was saying I can’t believe Scottie Scheffler, you were thinking about leaving him off that team. Look at what he has done! After he beat Rahm in that singles match, the guy has not lost.“
Scheffler will obviously play more of a leading role at the Ryder Cup this time around, and many players on the American team will be looking to him for leadership.
It will be fascinating to see how he performs in that role at Bethpage Black.
