Golfing superstar Ludvig Aberg has been discussing just how different life is for him now he’s playing regularly on the PGA Tour.

Aberg is one of the biggest up and coming stars in the game right now. The 24-year-old enjoyed a superb 2023 as he won on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, before succeeding in Europe’s winning effort against USA in the Ryder Cup in Rome.

Now, 2024 will be about kicking on for Aberg. And speaking about life on tour, the young Swede has revealed what’s surprised him the most.

Ludvig Aberg shares what’s really surprised him about being on the PGA Tour

Speaking alongside friend and fellow golfer Vincent Norrman on the Talk of the Tour podcast, Aberg shared that the sheer amount of golf he now plays is the biggest change he’s noticed.

“It wasn’t unexpected but I think the biggest change was the amount of Golf that you play. You play a decent schedule in college but it’s very very different. I’ve been back in Lubbock a little bit, I used to live there. I used to speak to the guys on the team and be just like ‘you play a lot’ and just try and incorporate that into your practice. You’re not going to get much better just hitting seven irons into a mirror and I think a lot of guys did that. So I try to just tell them to go play and do what eventually you do on tour,” Aberg said.

Aberg could dominate Golf

Some up and comers in the game just look to have the world at their feet and Ludvig Aberg really looks like the real deal.

His performance in the Ryder Cup cemented just how good he can be and 2024 could end up being a massive year for him.

His mate Norrman spoke on how impressed he’s been with Aberg’s mentality, so it will certainly be interesting to see if he can win some more tournaments. Just like we saw with a young Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, there’s high expectation around him.

24 is nothing in terms of age for a golfer. And right now, there’s few in the sport who have the chance of dominating quite like Aberg does.
