Smylie Kaufman gives his verdict on Charlie Woods’ golf swing and he’s noticed a really impressive change he’s made

It’s safe to say that Charlie Woods has landed in the game of golf after a superb display alongside Tiger at the PNC Championship and Smylie Kaufman has been waxing lyrical about the teenager’s golf swing.

Charlie produced the moment of the weekend when he made a hole in one on the fourth hole on Sunday.

Tiger reacted proudly to the ace from Charlie and celebrations out on course were a real joy to behold.

However, it wasn’t just the ace from Woods junior that got people’s attention. Over the whole weekend, Charlie played some excellent golf and was genuinely hanging with some of the best to ever do it over the course of the tournament.

With pressure on him being Tiger’s son and eyeballs aplenty, Charlie delivered time and again and a lot of it came down to just how good he is at swinging a golf club.

Something that wasn’t lost on former PGA Tour player, Smylie Kaufman.

Smylie Kaufman praises the change Charlie Woods made to his golf swing

Taking to social media platform X to comment on Charlie’s swing, Kaufman admitted to being impressed by what he’s seeing.

And in particular, he picked out a change that’s really helping the younger Woods to deliver.

It wasn’t just Kaufman either who was impressed by Charlie, with current PGA Tour player Michael Kim also praising the teenager and even suggesting he’d take his swing over his old man’s.

Can Charlie Woods make it in the pros?

There is very much a high chance of Charlie Woods giving it a go as a pro golfer.

He has all the ins he needs in terms of who his Dad is and his name alone means he will likely be a draw for the powers that be on the PGA Tour.

However, reports over the years have suggested that Tiger will insist Charlie finishes his studies and gets his degree, something Tiger opted against and has since admitted he regrets.

From there, Charlie would need to enrol in the Q School and follow the same process as everyone else.

Sure, he might get the odd exemption here and there due to his name. But in the main, Charlie is going to have to earn it the hard way and in reality, his Father wouldn’t want it any other way.
