The PGA Tour continues this weekend despite the FedEx Cup being done and dusted as a number of players look to get into form ahead of the Presidents Cup.

After Scottie Scheffler won out at East Lake, all eyes are now on the Presidents Cup.

Both Team USA and the International Team have picked their final 12s and there’s an element of excitement building.

However, before that, we have a series of smaller PGA events that will round up the entire season, starting with this week’s Procore Championship.

While we aren’t blessed with all the biggest names in golf for the Procore, there are a few star names taking part.

And speaking about who might come out on top, Smylie Kauffman has suggested it’s hard to look past the in-form Sahith Theegala.

Smylie Kauffman predicts Sahith Theegala to win the Procore Championship

Speaking about the upcoming Procore Championship and who might win out in what is a threadbare field of star names, Kauffman believes that Theegala will be the man to beat.

“I think Sahith goes back to back. I think he’s going to win. But I am watching Nick Taylor just to see how he plays,” Kauffman said.

“Also to see what the form is of the three guys for the USA guys, how Max Homa looks. He always seems to play well there but you’ve got to drive it straight and I would say that’s what he’s struggling with right now. It will be a good test.

“Corey Conners, Min Woo Lee, it will be interesting to see how he plays on a track like that.”

Theegala is the man in form right now while Homa needs reps

While the likes of Scheffler and then Collin Morikawa were first and second at East Lake, there is no denying that Sahith Theegala is a man in form as well.

Theegala won praise for owning up to a two shot penalty that weekend and had he not done, he may have closed to within Scheffler.

With the field light this weekend at the Procore, and Theegala wanting to keep his form ahead of the Presidents Cup, he is certainly a man to watch.

As for Max Homa, he is a man who needs to find his form. Some feel he is lucky to be selected as part of the team and he’ll be desperate to prove himself again.

If Homa can use the Procore to find his rhythm, then it’s a huge boost for Jim Furyk and his team.
