Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed continue LIV Golf seasons this week in Dallas, with the event hosted by Maridoe Golf Club.

Garcia currently occupies fourth place in the LIV Golf individual standings, with Reed sitting 18th in the leaderboard.

LIV Golf Dallas arrives shortly after the US Open, where Reed recorded an albatross en route to finishing T23.

Garcia failed to qualify for the US Open at Oakmont Country Club earlier this month, which was won by J.J. Spaun.

But like Reed, he did take on The Masters and the PGA Championship at Augusta National and Quail Hollow respectively.

Rory McIlroy won the former, before coming under the spotlight before the latter even started, with his driver failing a test ahead of the PGA Championship.

Reed thinks driver tests should happen more often, with his fellow LIV Golf player Garcia now sharing his verdict on the matter.

Asked on Beyond the Clubhouse what he thinks of Reed’s wish for more testing, the Spaniard said: “They do it in some of the tournaments so I don’t have a problem with that.

“At the end of the day we are trying to make sure that all of our clubs and drivers are conforming and sometimes they get to the limit because of just hitting balls, it’s as simple as that. I am obviously fine with that, so we will see.”

Not long after completing the career grand slam at The Masters, McIlroy failed to shine at the PGA Championship.

World number one Scottie Scheffler triumphed at Quail Hollow, with the Northern Irishman finishing in a tie for 47th place.

That arrived after his driver failed the examination, whereby the club is tested to check whether or not the face is too springy.

A backup was used, and the five-time major champion wasn’t exactly his normal accomplished self off the tees.

Reed meanwhile missed the cut at the PGA Championship after impressively finishing third at The Masters.

The American then posted a T23 finish at the US Open, and will complete his major championship season at The Open Championship next month.
