Scottie Scheffler has revealed what he’s been doing behind the scenes to improve even more after his stunning 2024 season on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler won eight times in 2024, including the Masters, Olympics, Players Championship and Tour Championship at East Lake.
Scheffler also starred at the Presidents Cup as Jim Furyk’s United States side made it ten consecutive victories over the International Team.
The world number one was a cut above the rest in 2024, and the 28-year-old is eyeing further improvement ahead of the 2025 campaign, which gets underway in January.
Scottie Scheffler shares what he’s been doing during practice

Speaking during the latest edition of the SubPar Podcast, Scheffler revealed that ensuring he maintains the basics in his set-up will provide him with a good platform for success in 2025.
“I think we are always trying to improve a little bit at a time,” Scheffler explained. “Most of it is when we are out practicing, making sure that we are doing the A, B, and Cs.
“Making sure I’ve got good ball position, set-up, grip, and lines are good. Making sure that I get a good baseline for the day. Making sure my swing is where it needs to be. From there, we hit and create shots. Just trying to learn how to control that little golf ball.”
Major number three could be on the cards for Scottie Scheffler
With Scheffler taking an extended break after the Presidents Cup, the world number one will be recharged and fresh for when the 2025 season rolls around.
Given his form throughout 2024, Scheffler racking up a similar number of wins in 2025 could well be on the cards.
For Scheffler, looking to win a major championship outside of the Masters must be the aim. The golfing world knows he’s capable of winning around Augusta National, and another victory next April feels likely.
Yet, Scheffler hasn’t added the US Open, PGA Championship or Open to his glittering resume. If one of the other three majors is added to his record in 2025, comparisons to some of the game’s all-time greats will feel more than justified.
