It wasn’t to be this weekend for Scottie Scheffler at the BMW Championship.
The world number one could only manage an even par final round as he finished a shot over par at Castle Pines.
In the end, Scheffler could do nothing but watch as Keegan Bradley stole the win ahead of Adam Scott after another excellent round.
Of course, it’s been quite the week for Scheffler after he initially caught the eye having a bit of a meltdown on Friday.
Like so many, Scheffler appeared to struggle with the high altitude and winds.
And chatting about those issues after the finish, Scheffler shared an example of just how tough it can be.

Scottie Scheffler shares example of how hard the conditions at Castle Pines were
Speaking to the media after his final round, Scheffler was quizzed on how tough the elevation at Castle Pines is and admitted that one particular shot demonstrated the difficulties perfectly.
“I had some trouble with the elevation and the wind. It can be so challenging from those large downhill shots into the wind,” Scheffler said.
“Number nine is an example of one of those shots. I had 149 adjusted pin, and my 9-iron goes 176, and it flew 140 yards, and I flushed it. Maybe even less than that and it’s short and in the water.
“Teddy was telling the ball to sit in the air because it looked like the wind had died. But it’s challenging.”
To be fair, Scheffler was never far away from controversy the entire week.
The American was partnered with Matt Fitzpatrick for his final round and was involved in a bizarre back and forth with the rules officials.
Fitzpatrick labelled the officials a disgrace after they refused him the chance to change his driver head, while Scheffler was also involved in the chats, seemingly supporting Fitzy.
Going into East Lake, Scheffler will no doubt be hoping for a calmer few days as he looks to end the season on a high by winning the FedEx.
