Scottie Scheffler has had several crazy moments in recent weeks, and the world number one’s latest headloss came during the second round of the BMW Championship.
The world number one has looked disgruntled since the start of the end-of-season FedEx Cup playoffs.
Scheffler was visibly angry at the St Jude Championship and failed to contend in Memphis as Hideki Matsuyama claimed victory.
Now, as the FedEx Cup top 50 compete at Castle Pines, Scheffler has once again completely lost his head – and golf fans have been left stunned.

Scheffler carded a level-par 72 on day two of the BMW Championship and sits well out of contention.
Scheffler frustrations, however, boiled over on the 535-yard par-four tenth after the 28-year-old flew the green with his fourth shot.
“How is that possible,” Scheffler said to his caddie Ted Scott before dropping the F-bomb for all those on course and around the world to hear.
And it’s fair to say golf fans are in agreement about Scheffler’s actions.
“I’ve never seen him this heated before, honestly,” wrote popular fan account Tracking Scheffler.
Golf journalist Dan Rapaport said on X: “The Best player on the planet last looked like a 15 handicap, nothing like our sport.”
Another fan criticised Scheffler’s actions: “Wow. Come on, Man! Doosh move,” they wrote. Another said, “Scottie has temper issues.”
Several fans also questioned Scheffler’s demeanour at the moment. “I think the guy needs some time away from the game,” one wrote, while another said, “Scottie is starting to show more than the usual amount of frustration on the course. Something is going on.”
Scottie Scheffler will welcome the end of the PGA Tour season
There’s no doubt Scheffler will probably welcome the end of the PGA Tour season when the FedEx Cup concludes on September 1.
It’s a long and arduous campaign for the world’s best players, which involves endless amounts of travelling and long periods away from home.
Scheffler has just become a dad and has spent significant amounts of time away from his family already this year.
The American is usually calm and considered in his approach, so perhaps taking time away and resetting properly during the Fall would be the best move for the world number one.
