Scottie Scheffler has summarised his year in golf so far, having won six titles and an Olympic gold medal.

Scheffler has been predicted to make the next Olympic team, having finished in first place at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

But the in-form Billy Horschel could threaten Scheffler at the FedExCup Playoffs, which get underway this week.

The St Jude Championship kickstarts the event this week, with world number one Scheffler ranked in first place.

He is followed by Xander Schauffele in second and Rory McIlroy in third, with Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark completing the top five.

Scottie Scheffler sums up his PGA Tour season in one word

Scheffler has dominated the PGA Tour honours list this year, with the American now topping the Comcast Business Tour Top 10.

It rewards the top players in the FedExCup standings at the end of the FedExCup Regular Season.
Discussing his achievements in 2024, Scheffler has now shared his reaction to the honour, which has earned him an $8million (£6.25million) bonus.

“It’s been an incredible year for me both on and off the course, so to finish up the regular season by earning the top spot in the Comcast Business Tour Top 10 is an honor,” said Scheffler, as per the PGA Tour website.

“Every year I try to perform and compete to the best of my abilities, so this award really represents the hard work put in throughout the course of the season with the support of my family and team.”

Can Scottie Scheffler win his first FedEx title?

Viktor Hovlands heads to the St Jude Championship in Memphis as the FedExCup defending champion, but his form hasn’t been great in 2024.

McIlroy meanwhile has fared better this year, with the Northern Irishman winning two titles and finishing second at the US Open.

But it is the Americans who have stolen the PGA Tour headlines, with Scheffler and two-time major winner Schauffele leading the way.

The former is now chasing is first FedEx title, and heads into the opening event almost 2,000 points ahead of the latter in second.

But things can change very quickly, with 2,000 FedExCup Points going to the winner of the St Jude and the BMW Championship.
