Rickie Fowler produced a season-best performance at the ZOZO Championship as he finished solo fourth.
Fowler recently returned to golf after a three-month break, having taken on the Sanderson Farms Championship earlier this month.
The six-time PGA Tour winner finished the tournament in T16, and followed that up with a T23 finish at the Shriners Children’s Open.
But his luck turned at the ZOZO Championship, where Fowler really impressed to take home fourth spot on his own.
The American finished on 17-under at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Japan, just three shots behind winner Nico Echavarria.

The score Rickie Fowler wanted to shoot in ZOZO Championship final round
Fowler loves the ZOZO Championship supporters, who undoubtedly helped fire him to a superb week in Japan.
As quoted by the PGA Tour website, the American has shared his final-round target, having finished with a six-under 64.
“It was a good, solid day,” said Fowler. “I was obviously trying to get more. Had some dinner with our friends and some of our friends in Narita last night and we set the goal at nine (under), so I fell a little bit short. Still a good, solid day.
“Excited about the way I’ve been able to play the few events that I’ve played this fall. Not necessarily having my best, but being a lot of positives. Nice to have a good finish, especially here in Japan in front of some fun fans.”
Rickie Fowler produces his best finish of 2024 at ZOZO Championship
Fowler can hold his head very high after his efforts at the ZOZO Championship, where he carded four rounds of 68 or better.
The American fired home six-under 64s in the second and fourth rounds, with a 68 and 67 in rounds one and three respectively.
Fowler can take plenty of confidence from his fantastic week, having finished just two shots behind Justin Thomas and Max Greyserman in tied-second.

His T16 finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship was his best on the PGA Tour in 2024, but that has now changed.
ZOZO Championship winner Echavarria meanwhile now has victories in back-to-back seasons after winning the Puerto Rico Open in 2023.
