Rick Shiels Golf icon Rick Shiels has finally revealed the favourite irons he’s used throughout his career.
Shiels’ channel became the biggest golf channel on YouTube back in 2019, with his subscriber count now sitting at 2.9 million.
As ever, he has been keeping abreast of everything the world of golf has to offer, across both the men’s and women’s games.
Shiels thinks players are becoming less scared of Rory McIlroy, with the Northern Ireland ace unable to close out many tournaments in recent times.
The four-time major champion came close at the US Open earlier this year, as well as the Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship.

Elsewhere, Shiels wants the Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup played in the same week, a change that does seem unlikely to take place anytime soon.
But he has now shared some personal insight which his fans will undoubtedly appreciate, with Shiels picking out his favourite irons from his career.
“This is a bit personal to me,” he said on H.I.T Golf. “But I would say, I have had a few, I have had a few sets of irons which I’ve been like I absolutely love them.
“But the ones which instantly come to mind are the ones which I played with six or seven years ago. They were the Wilson V6 irons. They are the only club I have ever had my only official hole in one with.
“The seven iron I have got at home with the flag from the West Lancs 17th hole. I love the feel, the flight and the consistency. I am not sure why I ever took them out the bag!”
PGA Tour continues with Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas
Making bag changes is easy for some golfers and not so easy for others, with several different factors at play.
Rickie Fowler made two changes upon his recent return to golf, with the American having taken a break following the birth of his second daughter.
He returned at the Sanderson Farms Championship after almost three months out, finishing T16 in Jackson, Mississippi.
