The DP World Tour have now confirmed which 10 players will join the PGA Tour next year.

The conclusion of the DP World Tour Championship on Sunday brought an end to the 2025 season.

Afterwards, the top 10 players in the Race to Dubai standings who were not already members earned PGA Tour cards for 2026.

This included a former LIV Golfer who will make history when he officially joins the PGA Tour.

Phil Mickelson has now reacted to the news that one of his former LIV colleagues has succeeded in earning a Tour card.

Phil Mickelson applauds Laurie Canter for earning PGA Tour card

Marco Penge finished second to Rory McIlroy in the 2025 Race to Dubai and is arguably the most significant addition to the PGA Tour.

However, Laurie Canter finished seventh in the R2D and has become the first former LIV Golfer to earn his PGA Tour card.

Has the strategic alliance with the PGA Tour been good for the DP World Tour?

Canter played in the first two seasons of LIV (2022 and 2023) before being replaced by Anthony Kim in 2024.

The Englishman then served a 12-month ban from the PGA Tour, which ended prior to his playing in The Players Championship in March.

Six-time major winner Phil Mickelson is one of many golf fans who is pleased to see Canter’s full-time PGA Tour status confirmed.

“He has worked endlessly on his game and his success is well deserved,” Mickelson said about the former Cleeks GC player on X.

Former LIV Golfer could follow Laurie Canter to PGA Tour

The second player to leave LIV Golf and join the PGA Tour could be promising Spaniard, Eugenio Chacarra.

Chacarra played alongside Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer, and Carlos Ortiz on the Fireballs GC team from 2022 to 2024.

Michael Kim’s message to PGA Tour players about the DP World Tour

We get to go to fantastic different countries. The PGA Tour mostly sticks to America, which is great, but coming to places like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, France, and India, I personally really enjoy. The competition is still great, and I thoroughly enjoy my time here.

The 25-year-old has since played on the DP World Tour and finished 36th in the Race to Dubai this season.

He missed out on one of the 10 PGA Tour cards, but it would not be a surprise if he earned one next Winter.

Chacarra already has a DP World Tour victory under his belt, the 2025 Hero Indian Open, and he will surely take inspiration from Canter.
