Brooks Koepka is hoping to play on the PGA Tour in 2026, just a few weeks after he left LIV Golf.

It was only last month when Koepka officially left LIV Golf and he isn’t wasting any time regarding his next steps.

Koepka has already reapplied for his PGA Tour membership and is currently waiting on a decision pertaining to where he’ll be able to play in 2026.

It might be the prudent play for Koepka to enter some DP World Tour events this season.

He wasn’t a DP World Tour member when he joined LIV in 2022, so he has no outstanding fees to pay.

However, he is quite obviously dreaming of returning to the PGA Tour as soon as possible.

And he is set to find out one way or the other whether that could become a reality any time soon.

The 35-year-old, who has five major championships to his name, will be desperate to get back playing on the PGA Tour again.

It was recently claimed that Tiger Woods will have a big say on Koepka’s potential PGA Tour return.

That’s due to the fact that the 50-year-old is on both the Policy Board as a Player Director and the Future Competition Committee.

Now a new update has been provided about the former LIV Golf star.

According to Flushing It on X, the PGA Tour’s decision regarding Brooks Koepka’s future is now imminent.

The golfing world seems to be completely divided regarding what should happen next with Koepka.

While some believe he should never be allowed back, others are suggesting that the PGA Tour should facilitate his return in order to deal an even bigger blow to LIV.

However, that could work both ways.

If Koepka is allowed to return to the PGA Tour immediately, players like Bryson DeChambeau and Joaquin Niemann may be tempted to follow him.

However, on the other side of the coin, could certain PGA Tour players then be enticed into joining LIV safe in the knowledge that a PGA Tour return will be possible three or four years down the line?

The other thing to think about is that if the PGA Tour makes it really difficult for Koepka to come back, they will risk missing out on the chance to bring players like DeChambeau back.

There will be a lot of players on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf keeping a very close eye on Koepka’s current situation.

The PGA Tour is stuck between a rock and a hard place really.

They will receive criticism for whichever route they take, and that’s never a great place to be in!
