Nelly Korda is one of the best and most successful players on the LPGA Tour, despite the fact that she hasn’t actually won a tournament in 2025.
Korda has struggled to get over the line with a victory on the LPGA Tour this season, but she has recorded eight top-10 finishes in 17 starts.
Back in October, Korda admitted to being worn down after the long LPGA Tour season, and we haven’t seen her in action since then.
Korda has struggled with various injuries in 2025 and that has undoubtedly played a part in her failure to win a single tournament this year.
Amazingly, though, Korda’s statistics on the LPGA Tour this season were almost as good as last year, when she won seven times!
In fact, her stats were even better than last year’s at one point four months ago.
There’s no doubt that Korda will come out firing in 2026 and show her class once again as she attempts to regain her world number one ranking from Jeeno Thitikul.
PGA Tour caddie comments on whether a scratch golfer could beat Nelly Korda
There is a lot of talk on social media right now regarding whether a scratch handicap male golfer would be able to beat Korda.

Most level-headed men who play off scratch accept that Korda is on another level to them, but there are some out there who genuinely believe they could beat the former world number one.
Grant Horvat, a plus four handicap golfer, will take on Korda in a match next week from the same tees at her home course.
And it will be very interesting to see how that pans out.
Kip Henley, who has caddied for the likes of Vijay Singh, Boo Weekley and Stewart Cink throughout the years, took to his X account to offer his opinion on the 27-year-old’s chances of beating a male who is a scratch handicap.
And he made it very clear where he stood on the matter.
Henley explained: “I caddied on the regular Tour for 20 years. The greatest ball striking round I ever witnessed in any of my groups was by her. I caddied in 2 LPGA events and was paired with her once. She never missed a shot or a green until the last and she putted from the fringe 15 from the hole!“
Considering some of the players Henley has seen up close and personal on the PGA Tour, that is quite the compliment!
Nelly Korda’s average carry distances for every club vs scratch male golfers
Korda is one of the longest hitters on the LPGA Tour.
Judging by the following stats, she is about neck and neck with male scratch golfers with every single club in the bag.
| Club | Scratch average carry distance | Korda average carry distance |
| Driver | 259 | 252 |
| 3W | 235 | 232 |
| Hybrid | 214 | 218 |
| 4-iron | 197 | 200 |
| 5-iron | 177 | 185 |
| 6-iron | 164 | 169 |
| 7-iron | 157 | 154 |
| 8-iron | 146 | 144 |
| 9-iron | 139 | 135 |
| PW | 121 | 124 |
| GW | 109 | 115 |
| SW | 90 | 100 |
| LW | 74 | 83 |
As you can see, male scratch golfers hit their clubs very similar distances to Korda.
However, Korda’s consistency with her ball-striking and her ability on and around the greens sets her apart from the zero handicap men.
There is absolutely no way that a scratch golfer would be able to consistently get the better of Korda.
