Bryson DeChambeau’s latest social media challenge has certainly hooked large swathes of the golfing world.

DeChambeau has taken YouTube by storm over the past year and now has one of the platform’s most significant followings alongside Rick Shiels and Grant Horvat.

DeChambeau’s video with Donald Trump broke the internet, just before the 78-year-old was elected US President for a second time. The LIV Golf star has also used Instagram to his advantage in recent months.

The American’s latest stunt has seen him attempt to make a hole-in-one over his house. DeChambeau is posting his efforts on Instagram, with the 31-year-old allowing himself one more effort for every passing day.

DeChambeau is now on day 14, and it’s safe to say he’s dialled in. On day 13, the LIV star saw his ball hit the cup and bounce out. He also came close in his latest attempt.

The 31-year-old saw two of his efforts fail to hit the back of the cup after hitting another ball in the process. Peter Finch, also one of YouTube’s biggest names, is loving watching DeChambeau’s efforts.

“That’s the thing because he’s started it and because it instantly hit the mark, it’s like every day it comes out, I will open the app and see what he is doing to see if he has done it,” Finch said on the latest Rough Cut Podcast.

“It’s such a simple and easy thing. Admittedly, not many of us have a 5 million dollar house with a putting green outside! But as far as simple concepts go, he has nailed it again. He just keeps on nailing it.

“It has got to the point where the mat is in the same place, and the camera is in the same plac, when he hits it, and it goes over a certain ridge, when he’s hitting i,t I am like that’s a good one, or that’s going to the right or to the left.”

When will Bryson DeChambeau make a hole-in-one

It’s only a matter of time before DeChambeau makes an ace. The LIV star has his yardage dialled and is landing his ball close to the cup on almost every occasion. If he continues to hit his mark, one will drop.

An issue that emerged during day 14 involved previous efforts getting in the way. Clearing the area around the hole could give him the best chance of success.

From an engagement standpoint, it’s another smart move from DeChambeau. Millions of viewers watch the American take on the challenge each day. The latest clip gained 3.9m views, 208,000 comments and 20,000 likes.
