The US Open has finally arrived, with Scottie Scheffler headlining the field at Oakmont Country Club.
Scheffler is the world number one heading into the US Open, which is the third major championship of 2025.
He won the PGA Championship last month, with his fellow PGA Tour member Rory McIlroy winning The Masters in April.
Both players now turn their focus to Oakmont, which last held the US Open in 2016, when Dustin Johnson emerged victorious.
He is one of 14 full-time LIV Golf players who will take on the major championship, with that list including defending champion Bryson DeChambeau.

Peter Finch picks the player who he thinks can beat Scottie Scheffler and win the US Open
DeChambeau secured his second US Open title at Pinehurst in 2024, with Peter Finch now backing the American for another success this time around.
“It is seemingly set up for Bryson,” Finch said on The Rough Cut Golf Podcast. “He obviously won last year.

“Long hitter. If he goes in the rough he can gauge it out. There are not that many players who have his amount of power not only off the tee but out of those bad lies. He’s probably the best in the world at that.
“You do have golfers like Ryan Fox who won the Canadian. But I am looking at Bryson and I don’t see many players other than him, apart from Scottie, who will compete.”
Bryson DeChambeau key stats ahead of US Open at Oakmont
DeChambeau has already really tested Scheffler this season, having finished T2 behind his compatriot at the PGA Championship.
The LIV Golf star was also in contention on the final day of The Masters, but ultimately fell back to finish T5.

Scheffler meanwhile finished fourth at Augusta National before his success at Quail Hollow, which represents his third PGA Tour win of the season.
He has been in formidable form in 2025 so far, despite having had the start of his season disrupted by hand surgery.
Scheffler has sent a real warning to those taking on the latest major in recent times, and it will likely take a gutsy and of course impressive performance to beat him at Oakmont.
But DeChambeau does look capable of stepping up this week, with the challenging course seemingly playing into his hands.
| Stat | Rank | Figure |
| Driving distance | 1 | 331.9 average yards |
| Scrambling | 1 | 68.29% |
| Eagles | T1 | 7 |
| Birdies | 3 | 114 |
| Fairways hit | 14 | 63.10% |
| Greens in regulation % | 8 | 71.53% |
| Putting average | T8 | 1.58% |
Thick rough and long holes can be expected in Pennsylvania, where potential thunderstorms are certain to cause further chaos.
He should at least be able to conquer the length aspect, with DeChambeau currently boasting the best driving distance average on LIV Golf.
