Min Woo Lee became a first-time PGA Tour winner at the Houston Open last week.
It was an impressive maiden victory in the United States, ahead of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
The breakthrough also meant that the 26-year-old followed in the footsteps of his older sister and 10-time LPGA champion Minjee Lee.
Min Woo spoke recently about how his sister actually fell out of love with the game, but that’s all changed now.

Min Woo Lee explains what’s different about Minjee Lee’s game this year
Min Woo made a cameo appearance on commentary at the LPGA’s T-Mobile Match Play at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.
He was inevitably asked about Minjee during her match with Madelene Sagstrom, which she lost 3 and 2, and explained one significant difference in her game recently.
Min Woo said, “I practiced with her early in the year, and she’s actually been very solid with it. The last few months, I think it’s made her really enjoy and love golf again.
“I think last year was pretty mentally draining, and we had talks, you know, we share the same coach, Ritchie [Smith]. They talked about it for a while now. It’s quite hard because she’s had so much success with the short putter in past experiences, so you don’t want to switch things.
“Going to the long putter has made her look at golf a different way, and I think she’s starting to blossom a little again. She went backwards in the world rankings last year but I think she’s ready to have some good finishes and a win is nearby.”

Min Woo Lee and Minjee Lee both played at the Paris 2024 Olympics
Min Woo and Minjee were both lucky enough to represent Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Neither sibling came away with a medal, but it was still an amazing experience for them, especially because they spent time together.
“Yeah, this was amazing,” Min Woo added. “We don’t really get to see each other too much, but the Olympics is one of those tournaments where we can hang out a little bit.
“She came earlier, and we played the week before. So she came a little bit earlier and watched me play the last round, and she played the same course so she got to see that a little bit too.”
