Min Woo Lee is one of the rising stars of the PGA Tour scene and while most of the big events are in the bag for 2025, the Australian seems to have saved some of his best until last.
Lee is over in Japan playing in the Baycurrent Classic as part of a star-studded field.
The tournament is heading into its final round tomorrow, with Xander Schauffele and Max Greyserman tied at the top for the lead.

However, Min Woo Lee is not far back either on eight under par, meaning he’s four shots off the top spots and in good form.
Indeed, if he can find the record-setting form he found in round two, then we could be in for fireworks.

Min Woo Lee sets his own personal record during the Baycurrent Classic
Any professional golfer loves to keep challenging themselves and we’ve seen plenty of records tumble in recent years.
Scottie Scheffler has often been the man to set and beat those records but as for personal ones, we hear less on these.
Min Woo Lee, though, has taken to Instagram to share with everyone that his back nine holes on day two at the Baycurrent Classic were, in fact, his best ever nine holes.
Lee made six birdies and an eagle on the back nine in Yokohama, with two pars to go along with it.
Indeed, had it not been for a wretched front nine that saw him make just one birdie and card three bogeys, we could well have seen him even further in the mix.
The lowest nine hole scores on the PGA Tour
Corey Pavin remains the leader here with a nine hole score of 26 but in recent weeks we have seen some low nine hole scores get posted.
Indeed, it was only in that same round at the Baycurrent we saw Kazuki Higa equal the 2025 PGA Tour record for a low nine hole score as he went round in 28.
In terms of the history of great nine holes, 27 has been done a few times, with Jim Furyk, Paul Casey and Tom Kim among those to hit that figure.
However, Min Woo’s 28 equals the season record set by Higa on the same day and going into the final round and 2026 as a whole, that will be something Lee can really build on to keep momentum going.
