Keegan Bradley will name his Ryder Cup captain’s picks on Wednesday at 11am Eastern Time, and Cameron Young is one of the players who will be hopeful of making the team.
Bradley has some seriously difficult decisions to make with some of America’s big-name players having struggled for form ahead of the Ryder Cup.
However, Young‘s recent form ahead of the showdown at Bethpage Black has been a big bonus for Bradley and the United States.
Three weeks ago, Young pleaded his case to Ryder Cup captain Bradley, by telling him three reasons why he should be on the team.
He explained: “I think that this week proves what I’m capable of. I’ve played a lot of really good golf over the course over a bunch of years in big spots in majors, I know I’ve got maybe fourth or fifth most top-10s in majors since I started playing on tour. I obviously love that golf course, it’s home for me up there.
“So if you’re asking me, I think my golf helps, I think it probably would have helped the last time too. But I know I’ve got some work left to do to prove that to him, and this is week one of four that I have the opportunity to do that, so I’ve got three more.“
However, Michael Kim believes the 28-year-old from Scarborough, New York, may well miss out on the Ryder Cup team when Bradley makes his announcement on Wednesday.
Michael Kim predicts the six players Keegan Bradley will pick for his Ryder Cup team
Over the past few years, Kim has made a real name for himself by sharing his forthright opinions on social media.

And he has now shared his take on who Bradley’s six captain’s picks for the Ryder Cup will be.
Kim took to his X account on Tuesday, and named the six players he thinks will be joining the six automatic qualifiers at Bethpage Black next month.
He said: “I have zero insight on the Ryder Cup picks but I’m going to guess JT Collin Griffin Burns Keegan Cantlay.“
If Young is indeed left off the team, it will be incredibly harsh on him. He has been in great form over the past month or so and finally broke his PGA Tour duck by triumphing at the Wyndham Championship recently.
Young suggested leaving him off the Ryder Cup team would be the wrong call, after the Tour Championship finished.
He will be bitterly disappointed if he doesn’t get the chance to play at Bethpage next month.
Cameron Young’s PGA Tour stats in 2025
Young endured a tough start to his PGA Tour season, with six missed cuts in his first 11 events.
However, he has been incredibly consistent during the second half of the season, and his style of play is very much conducive to achieving success at Bethpage.
Here are his stats from the 2025 season on the PGA Tour:
| Stats | Young’s rank |
| Off the tee | 30th |
| Approach | 125th |
| Around the green | 98th |
| Scrambling | 95th |
| Putting | 6th |
| Total | 25th |
| Money earned | $8,608,313 |
Young’s enormous length off the tee and his exceptional putting could be a really dangerous combination at the Ryder Cup next month.
With that in mind, Bradley leaving him off the Ryder Cup team would be a very brave call.
