The Black Desert Championship is now firmly in the history books in what was a successful return to Utah for the PGA Tour.

The TOUR made the return to the state for the first time in more than half a century as the stunning Black Desert resort played host to the tournament.

In the end, the tournament was won by Matt McCarty and McCarty himself admitted that the Sunday positions around Black Desert had helped him to get the win.

Prior to the tournament truly getting underway, PGA player Nick Taylor had commented on the greens not being quite ready in terms of growth, making them tricky to read.

However, over the course of the four days, the course played well and proved a significant challenge for some players.

And giving his honest assessment on the whole course at Black Desert, Michael Kim has shared his thoughts on proceedings.

Michael Kim shares his opinion on the Black Desert Championship

As we know, Kim is one of the more vocal PGA players on social media and he often takes to X to give his thoughts on all things golf.

And taking to X today, Kim has praised the Black Desert offering, reserving special praise for the staff around the resort as well.

Not all perfect for Black Desert

While the tournament itself was fine and had a worthy winner in the end in Matt McCarty, it wasn’t all perfect for event organisers.

Indeed, the TOUR and the event in general drew criticism for inviting 65-year-old Jay Don Blake to the tournament to play in his 500th PGA Tour event.

That is something that might be out of the control of certain people at the tournament but still, it is a slight negative on proceedings.

Otherwise, it was great to see golf back in Utah and the surroundings were something else at times.
