Marco Penge is very much one of the hottest properties in golf right now after cementing his future in the game by winning the Spanish Open.
Penge’s win in Madrid ensured he not only secured a PGA Tour card for 2026 but also got himself an invitation to The Masters.
For many in golf, playing The Masters is the icing on the cake and Penge will go into the tournament at Augusta National with little fear given how he’s played in 2025.
Penge’s win has got golf fans excited about his future but for the man himself, he’s very much a calm presence in the face of all the drama around what he might do on the PGA Tour.
Indeed, after taking a day or so for things to soak in, Penge has now taken to social media to break his silence on his achievements.

For Marco Penge, it does look like the sky is the limit now.
There is a realistic chance for Penge to get involved in the 2027 Ryder Cup squad if he continues on this trajectory as well.
Of course, a good performance at Augusta National will only boost those chances and now, posting on X, Penge has expressed his delight.
With Penge averaging more than 319 yards off the tee on the DP World Tour this season, there is a chance that his game actually translates even better to the PGA Tour.

How Marco Penge was tipped to make the 2025 Ryder Cup squad
With Bethpage Black now firmly in the bank, it’s hard to imagine Team Europe having anyone different in their ranks.
However, Luke Donald did have some big decisions to make and he must have noticed the form that Penge was in.
Indeed, Penge was one golfer who Dame Laura Davies wanted in the squad when it was initially announced.
‘It [Team Europe] is as strong as it could be,” Davies told Sky Sports. “I was hoping Marco [Penge] was going to get in, but who would you take out? They’re all playing well.
“Look at Matt Fitzpatrick – it’s fabulous how he has played the last six months. I know Rasmus [Hojgaard] had a couple of bad weeks, but he won’t be a weak link and he’ll be ready. I think if Rory, Tyrrell [Hatton], Jon [Rahm] and Tommy [Fleetwood] all play really well, that’s where we win the Ryder Cup.”
In the end, Donald’s picks proved to be bang on the money.
However, come 2027, Penge could be even harder to ignore.
