Rory McIlroy finally won The Masters at the 16th time of asking on Sunday, and LIV Golf posted a message on social media after the dramatic end to the day at Augusta National.
The 89th edition of The Masters will go down in the history books as one of the greatest major championships ever played.
PGA Tour superstar Rory McIlroy reigned supreme at Augusta National on Sunday, leaving the likes of LIV Golf stars Bryson DeChamebeau and Patrick Reed in is wake.
Professional golfers came out in their numbers to congratulate Rory McIlroy after his win at The Masters, LIV Golf star Phil Mickelson included.
Due to the current PGA Tour / LIV divide in professional golf, there was a lot riding on the final round at Augusta.
You just know that those involved with the Saudi-backed outfit were desperate to see Bryson get his hands on that green jacket.

The PGA Tour members would have been thrilled to see Rory win The Masters on Sunday.
It was obviously huge for McIlroy from a personal perspective, as it saw him join the exclusive Grand Slam club.
However, the Northern Irishman’s victory had far more widespread ramifications for the sport in general.
It very much felt like a big win for the PGA Tour as a whole.
LIV Golf’s official Instagram account posted a message after Rory’s monumental victory at The Masters:

Calendar year Grand Slam is on for Rory McIlroy
McIlroy will not have a better chance of winning all four majors in the same season as he does this year.
The PGA Championship is at Quail Hollow – a course he has won around numerous times, whilst the U.S Open will be held at Oakmont – a place where a premium is placed on excellent driving of the golf ball.
Then finally, The Open Championship will be played at Royal Portrush – a course Rory played regularly whilst growing up.
It will obviously be incredibly difficult for him to win all four majors this season, almost impossible even.
However, the fact that Rory McIlroy won The Masters means that the calendar year Gram Slam is actually a possibility for the 35-year-old now.
