Lexi Thompson is enjoying a positive week at the CME Group Tour Championship, but she isn’t happy going into her final round.
Thompson praised the LPGA Tour talent ahead of the season-ending event, which is nearing its conclusion.
Florida’s Tiburon Golf Club is playing host to the CME Group Tour Championship, with Angel Yin and Atthaya Thitikul sharing the lead heading into Sunday.
They top the pile on -15, with Thompson T29 on the leaderboard on -4 as world number one Nelly Korda sits T8 on -9.
Korda headed into the event with a win at The Annika last week, representing her seventh win of the season.

Lexi Thompson criticises LPGA Tour at the CME Group Tour Championship
The LPGA Tour was commended for pairing Korda with Caitlin Clark at the event’s Pro-Am, but their compatriot Thompson has now spoken out against the tour ahead of the final round of the CME Group Tour Championship.
“Pretty sad when you’re at -4 in the season-ending event, which could easily be the last CME of your career and you won’t even finish on #18 because they decide to double tee on the final day due to TV coverage window,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
“Bummed I won’t be able to embrace all the incredible fans on 18 tomorrow as I finish, hopefully some will be out there on #9. But just know I’m grateful for you all.”

If indeed it is Thompson’s final CME Group Tour Championship, it will be a real shame for her to go out this way.
But as she mentioned, fans should still flock to the ninth hole at Tiburon Golf Club to see the LPGA Tour star in action.
