Kevin Kisner appeared to hit out at the changes the PGA Tour are set to make ahead of the 2026 season ahead of the final day of The RSM Classic, with the future of several players hanging in the balance.

While the FedEx Cup Fall does not offer the same number of storylines as regular season events, The RSM Classic is most definitely a hugely significant event in the calendar, with many players fighting to keep their cards in the finale of the PGA Tour season.

Wesley Bryan missed the cut and will fall out of the top 125, while Joel Dahmen kept his hopes alive by making a crucial putt on the last on Friday to ensure that he would be playing over the weekend.

Meanwhile, the likes of Henrik Norlander and Daniel Berger looked set to jump inside the top 125 with their performances in Georgia. But it seems that those who do fail to keep their cards have been issued with an ominous warning.

Kevin Kisner took to social media to wish all of those around the cut line luck ahead of the final round, and he suggested that it could be a particularly painful situation for those who drop out due to the changes which are coming in 2026.

What others have said about the changes the PGA Tour will make in 2026

Of course, the proposals being considered were recently approved by the PGA Tour. That means that just 100 players will automatically keep their cards from 2026 onwards. Meanwhile, just 20 players will be promoted by the Korn Ferry Tour each year, rather than 30.

It has been claimed that the proposals have been suggested with slow play in mind. It has certainly not been uncommon for players to come back the following day to finish their rounds this season.

However, while the proposals have been approved, they have certainly divided opinion. Padraig Harrington labelled the changes ‘terrible’, while Brandel Chamblee said he was sad when the proposals went through.

Clearly, some players felt that changes needed to be made. But Kisner seems far from happy to see the pathway closed off to so many.
