Keegan Bradley pipped Tommy Fleetwood to the Travelers Championship on Sunday at TPC River Highlands.

Bradley birdied the final hole of the Travelers Championship to win by one stroke from Fleetwood, and the Ryder Cup captain was seriously pumped up on the 18th green after his victory.

Back in May, Bradley said he was unsure if he would play on his own Ryder Cup team.

The 39-year-old is now inside the top 12 of the Ryder Cup points list.

And in all fairness, he’s playing some of the best golf out of the top ranking American players right now, by quite some margin as well.

Bradley has been incredibly consistent this season, and his form has led to many American fans calling for him to pass on the captaincy.

However, there is a feeling that he actually could fulfil both duties in September.

Keegan Bradley warned he’s about to make a big mistake after Travelers Championship win

Dame Laura Davies noticed something very interesting on Sky Sports in the UK after Bradley’s win at TPC River Highlands.

Just after Bradley holed the winning putt on the 18th green, he seemingly dropped a big hint at what lies ahead for him.

At least that’s what Dame Laura thinks.

She gave her opinion on Bradley seemingly hinting that he could be a playing captain at Bethpage Black in September.

She said, He gave an indication there on the green that he is probably going to be the playing captain. I could see him being a player or a captain but a playing captain? Thanks very much, I like that because I don’t think that works.

Fleetwood left the door open for Bradley by bogeying the final hole.

And Davies criticised Fleetwood’s approach in the final hole.

She said: It seems like he changed his club and I don’t quite know why. I know they were having a conversation and they wanted to make sure they got it right obviously but that is just not right. That’s a poor club and that opens the door to Keegan. If you knock that to 10 feet it makes this shot [Bradley’s approach] a lot harder.

Fleetwood’s pain was very much Bradley’s gain in the end though.

What Bradley said immediately after Travelers Championship win

Could the 39-year-old really act as a player/captain at Bethpage?

Bradley was asked whether he could play on his own Ryder Cup team, immediately after his win at TPC River Highlands

He said: Go USA!”.

That seemed like a big hint from Bradley, but could he really be a player AND a captain at the Ryder Cup?

Team Europe definitely will be hoping that he can! It will be an impossible task in my opinion, but that will be up to Bradley to decide.
