Keegan Bradley roared back to life this weekend as he finished an excellent tie for second at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

The 37-year-old has found winning hard to come by in recent years but has still got over the line at least once in the last two seasons.

Bradley won the Zozo Championship in 2022 before winning the Travelers Championship in 2023.

As we know, Bradley narrowly missed out on a spot in the USA’s Ryder Cup team in 2023 as well and it looks like he’s been using that as motivation to improve his game.

And speaking about his form at Colonial this weekend, Bradley has admitted he’s probably just played his best golf of the year.

Keegan Bradley shares why he’s now really comfortable when in contention to win

Speaking in his flash interview following the final round at the Charles Schwab Challenge yesterday, Bradley admitted he’s now happy to be in the mix to win on a regular basis.

“Really good. My best round of the year probably. Hung in there, I really felt comfortable out there and in contention, which is not always the case and I’m really proud of the way I played today and I think that’s just going to get me ready for the next time it happens,” Bradley said.

“I feel like over the last few years I’ve been able to handle it [being in contention[ better. Years in the past I’ve kind of felt better making a charge from lower back. But now I kind of enjoy being up there.

“I kept telling myself today to enjoy being there and enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy how tough it was and I did a good job of that today.”

Keegan Bradley is there or thereabouts ahead of Pinehurst

While Bradley isn’t going to be a name that immediately comes to mind when picking a winner for the US Open at Pinehurst in a few weeks, he is very much in the mix.

This second place follows up a few tidy performances over the last lot of tournaments.

Bradley finished in the top 25 at both the Masters and the PGA, while he also finished 21st at the Wells Fargo.

His excellent weekend at Colonial this weekend has shown everyone he’s very much a player still in contention when it all comes together.

And given he’s a past major winner, the experience is there as well for him to make a real fist of winning the US Open.
