It doesn’t seem a week has passed since Rory McIlroy’s dramatic win at The Masters but here we are, and some of the best players in the world are still reacting to the moment.

McIlroy’s dramatic playoff win over Justin Rose will go down in history and now, all eyes are on McIlroy to see if he can keep adding to his major tally.

Of course, at the time of McIlroy’s win, there was plenty of reaction to his grand slam achievement.

European captain Luke Donald praised McIlroy, while the likes of Rafael Nadal and Patrick Mahomes even got involved.

Now, a week or so down the line, USA Ryder Cup captain, Keegan Bradley, has been giving his thoughts on McIlroy’s win.

Keegan Bradley gives verdict on Rory McIlroy’s Masters win

Speaking on the latest Subpar golf podcast episode, Bradley got onto the subject of Rory McIlroy’s win at The Masters and how he felt watching it.

And it seems for Bradley, he was just as happy as any McIlroy fan to see him get it over the line.

“I was nervous watching,” Bradley admitted. “I had this feeling watching that I don’t know if any human being in the golf world has felt that type of pressure ever.

“Most of these guys that have got the grand slam, they did it on their first or second tries. People can say all they want about all these other majors. The Masters is the biggest one. To tick that off to win that, you are looking at a lifetime of celebration.

“Forget about the grand slam, you win The Masters and you are doing that until you are 85 and you get to enjoy and celebrate your golf career. It is something that is really special. For a player like Rory not to have that is ridiculous, so I am excited that he did it.”

Keegan Bradley will be hoping Rory McIlroy has peaked for 2025

Team USA might have some of the best golfers in the world and the current world number one in their ranks, but few players across both teams produce in Ryder Cups quite like Rory McIlroy.

Normally, McIlroy would gear his year up to the Ryder Cup but this season, he seems intent on winning the individual trophies and crucially, getting that major tally up.

As it stands, McIlroy is in the form of his life. For Team Europe, this is very much a good thing.

However, Keegan Bradley and co will be hoping that McIlroy has peaked already and come September, he might not have his best stuff.

So while Bradley is rightfully delighted for McIlroy here, rest assured, he’ll want the worst possible version of Rory to arrive at Bethpage Black later in the year.
