United States captain Keegan Bradley has an important job to do before the Ryder Cup at Bethpage later this year.
While six players will automatically qualify for the team, Bradley will need to pick another six to take on the Europeans.
And, despite home advantage, the USA can expect a tough battle with Luke Donald’s squad, who won comfortably in Rome last time.
Plus, several European players are in good form in 2025, which could be a cause for concern for Bradley and co.

Keegan Bradley gives verdict on European players dominating PGA Tour before Ryder Cup
Bradley was asked before the RBC Heritage this week whether he’s worried about how much success the European players have enjoyed lately.
“The Ryder Cups, both sides are going to have unbelievable players,” he said. “The Europeans have had a great start to the year, and they have Hall of Famers on their team. But we have got some good guys too.
“We have got some guys who are rounding into form. A couple of our guys were hurt earlier in the year and they are starting to play great. I like our chances.”
Bradley, who still has an opportunity to play at Bethpage, remains highly confident in the United States players, although he realizes that they will need to be wary of the crowd.
“I have been telling the guys that it is going to be difficult for the Europeans to play, but it is going to be difficult for us as well,” he added. “These are passionate fans.
“When you do not perform the way they want you to, they are going to let you know it. Of course, they are going to be on our side and are going to be going crazy. But Bethpage Black to the people of New York is almost like a Church. It’s so special to them.
“It’s not Wingfoot or Shinnecock, these exclusively private clubs, and these people on Long Island grew up playing there. Their Grandparents took them there, their Dad took them there, they had this history of their life at Bethpage. Sleeping in the car. It means so much to them. Our main goal as a team is to represent Bethpage Black the way they would want us to.”

How many PGA Tour events have been won by European players in 2025?
European players have won seven tournaments on the PGA Tour in 2025, including many of the Signature Events.
Of course, Rory McIlroy is leading the way with three Tour victories this season, including The Masters most recently.
European winners on the PGA Tour this season
| PGA Tour Event | Winner | Nationality |
| The American Express | Sepp Straka | Austria |
| Pebble Beach Pro-Am | Rory McIlroy | Northern Ireland |
| Phoenix Open | Thomas Detry | Belgium |
| Genesis Invitational | Ludvig Aberg | Sweden |
| The Players Championship | Rory McIlroy | Northern Ireland |
| Valspar Championship | Viktor Hovland | Norway |
| The Masters | Rory McIlroy | Northern Ireland |
However, what’s probably more concerning, from a US perspective, is the resurgence of Valspar Championship winner Viktor Hovland.
Ludvig Aberg has continued to assert himself as one of the best in the world, particularly with his win at the Genesis Invitational.
Meanwhile, Sepp Straka and Thomas Detry are the types of players who could force their way into Donald’s team with some impressive performances.
