Keegan Bradley continues his season at The Open Championship this week, but must also keep one eye on the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Sir Nick Faldo has told Bradley to play at the Ryder Cup, with the latter currently set to captain the American side.
But the possibility of Bradley playing has arisen thanks to his displays this season, which have placed him ninth in the current US Ryder Cup standings.
First-placed Scottie Scheffler is the only player to have qualified for the hosts at this stage, with Xander Schauffele and J.J. Spaun completing the top three spots.
Also in contention to qualify are the likes of Russell Henley, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas, who are all within the top six in the qualification standings.

Keegan Bradley has got to know three Americans better ahead of the Ryder Cup
Sitting in 13th, Andrew Novak has impressed Bradley, with the former representing one of three players the latter has got to know better as the Ryder Cup approaches.
The captain told the Ryder Cup social media team: “I have been playing some pretty good golf but so have a lot of Americans.
“If I was sitting here without being captain making this team would be my number one goal. That does not change with me being captain. I would be sitting there thinking I am right there, I have a really good chance to make the team.
“I have gotten to know Mav McNealy, Andrew Novak, Ben Griffin better. These are guys who are coming on to the scene this year pretty hot and heavy.
“I am getting to know them and getting to know how they think and how they are on the golf course, what type of players they are. I have really enjoyed that.
“I feel like you have to look at everybody as a team member of the Ryder Cup team and then you figure out there is going to be 12 of those guys, but right now I see 20 or 25 guys on the team.”
Maverick McNealy, Andrew Novak and Ben Griffin American Ryder Cup rankings
The golfing world is fully focused on the final major championship of 2025, with Royal Portrush hosting The Open Championship.
In Northern Ireland, a long list of American players will be hoping to catch the eye of the team’s current Ryder Cup captain.
That will put them under more pressure this week, but an impressive display is certain to place them under serious consideration for Bethpage Black given the nature of the latest tournament and its venue.
But the same can be said of the European hopefuls, with captain Luke Donald certain to be keeping a close eye on a long list of players.
Rory McIlroy is their only qualified player thus far, with the home favourite closely followed in the rankings by Tommy Fleetwood and Robert MacIntyre.
On the American side, McNealy is just ahead of Novak in 11th, while Griffin is one spot ahead of Bradley in eighth.
