Jordan Spieth is among the players looking to impress US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley as the prestigious tournament draws nearer.
Scottie Scheffler has qualified for the US Ryder Cup team, who will be led by Bradley at Bethpage Black in New York in September.
The world number one is the only player to have qualified for the team so far, but Bradley is intriguingly among the others in contention for a Ryder Cup spot.
Scheffler tops the American qualification standings, with Xander Schauffele in second and J.J. Spaun in third.
Their captain occupies ninth place at this moment in time, and some golf fans believe Bradley will play at the Ryder Cup.

Jordan Spieth’s instructions for Keegan Bradley playing at the Ryder Cup
And Spieth, who is 25th in the rankings, has now shared his take on that potential scenario on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams.
He said of Bradley: “As of right now, if he is playing as a top 12 American player then he should be on that team in my opinion.
“I think you throw out the politics. He has a great group of assistant captains around him. The PGA of America will clear up whatever they need to for him.
“The historical significance of how few people have ever done it, the idea was to go younger with the captain so if that is going to be the idea going forward then you might run into this situation more often than it has ever happened before.
“There is a good chance that Tiger [Woods] could be a captain soon, maybe the next one, and if he is somehow – and I’m not sure he will be – but if he is somehow back to playing well, you don’t think people would want him?
“For me if this guy is going to be one of the best 10 players at that tournament, which is how he is playing right now, then of course you want him on the team. That’s me saying that and I want him not to be because that opens up a pick for me, maybe!
“But for the betterment of the team I think he deserves it right now and I hope to try and go steal one of those picks away from him.”
Jordan Spieth shares what his relationship is like with Keegan Bradley
Bradley has been impressing on the PGA Tour this season, recently clinching the title at the Travelers Championship.
Impressively, his positive showings have coincided with Ryder Cup captain duties, which recently included naming Gary Woodland as one of his vice-captains.
And Spieth has witnessed those displays up close this season, saying of those experiences: “I have played some rounds with him and been paired with him a couple of times in the last months.
“I have been playing better and better as the year has gone on. So he and I were both contending a few weeks ago and on the 18th hole, he was always trying to pump me up.
“He was like keep this going kid, keep this going. We want you on that team. Keep it going. I’m like stop stealing points away from me, man!
“We just tied this tournament, if you want that just miss that five footer you just made and I will get more points! He is selfish!”
Unlike the American captain, Spieth is without a win on the PGA Tour in 2025, but he has produced four top 10 finishes.
He’s made the cut 14 times out of 16, but has continued his title-winning drought, with his last success coming at the 2022 RBC Heritage.
