Keegan Bradley has some big decisions to make ahead of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in September.
Bradley actually has a real chance of playing on the US Ryder Cup team, and he could be the first playing captain since Arnold Palmer performed both roles way back in 1963.
Many top American players like Bryson DeChambeau and J.J. Spaun have been urging captain Bradley to play on the Ryder Cup team.
The 39-year-old from Vermont is currently sitting in ninth position in the US points list, and he is unquestionably one of the best six golfers from the United States at the moment.
Bradley is excited about how his Ryder Cup team is shaping up right now, with a really close bond forming between many of the American players.

Team USA really is starting to look stronger with every week that passes, especially the top six in the standings.
And the Ryder Cup skipper has now opened up on how impressed he has been by someone who isn’t even inside the top 12 on the US points list.
Keegan Bradley really impressed by one American Ryder Cup hopeful
With the Ryder Cup now just a little more than two months away, those in and around 7th-15th on the US points list will be desperate to put in some really good showings.
The top six in the standings are currently locks to play at Bethpage, while seventh placed Collin Morikawa will definitely be there too.
The same can probably be said for Ben Griffin and Bradley himself as well.
However, Andrew Novak, who is sitting down in 13th place in the standings, is far from guaranteed a place on the Ryder Cup team.
That said, he will be hugely encouraged by something Bradley said during an appearance on The 5 Clubs Podcast.

The US Ryder Cup captain said: “With the players on the US side, we’re going to look at the stats, the analytics you know, we’re going to look at that. But we also know who’s going to be able to handle this [the pressure]. And guys like Andrew Novak have shown throughout the year what a tough competitor he is. I love his mindset and his attitude.“
The fact that Bradley is such a big fan of Novak’s game and his mentality bodes very well for the 30-year-old.
However, he will most likely need a couple of top-fives at the very least between now and the end of the PGA Tour season in order to secure his place on the US Ryder Cup team.
Andrew Novak’s 2025 PGA Tour results
Novak is obviously a very good golfer, and he has secured some really impressive results this season.
However, his showings in 2025 have been somewhat of a mixed bag:
| Results | Novak’s finishes |
| Events played | 20 |
| Wins | 1* |
| Top-5s | 4 |
| Top-10s | 4 |
| Top-25s | 8 |
| Missed cuts | 7 |
*Team win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans
Novak has performed really well this season, although the fact that he has missed seven cuts from the 20 events he has played will surely be somewhat of a concern for Bradley.
The 30-year-old will definitely need a strong finish to the season, if he is to secure a place on Bradley’s Ryder Cup team.
