Keegan Bradley is very much the man in the spotlight for Team USA this year and he faces some big decisions when it comes to selecting his Ryder Cup team for Bethpage.
Bradley was famously left out by Zach Johnson for the last Ryder Cup in Rome, with golf fans getting a unique insight into that decision in Netflix’s Full Swing docuseries.
However, in a remarkable turn of events, the PGA of America have gone with Bradley in the captain’s seat this time, leaving it wide open as to who he picks.
Bradley has already confirmed he’ll have the same amount of picks as Johnson did in 2023, and with that, players are scrapping it out to be involved.
Of course, one of the big controversies of Johnson’s leadership was the decision to take an out of form Justin Thomas to Rome.
But while that might have seemed a big call at the time and one could suspect some bitterness from Bradley towards that situation, the Team USA skipper has actually hinted at the opposite.

Keegan Bradley’s comments on Justin Thomas a major hint for the Ryder Cup
Going back to the season of Full Swing which saw Bradley get the news about him not being selected by Johnson, it also displayed what Bradley really thinks of Justin Thomas.
And if his comments at the time are anything to go by, then Thomas could well be a certainty for 2025.
“I love these guys. One of the main reasons that I wanted to make the team is because I wanted to be around these guys and the energy they have. I see JT, the way he prepares and practices and if I was a captain, I would want him in my locker room,” Bradley said at the time.
Thomas has not won on TOUR since 2022 but along with good friend Jordan Spieth, is vying to get into some sort of form and get into the picture for Bethpage Black.

Justin Thomas could end up being picked automatically
As it stands, Thomas is not inside the top six on the USA side of things for the Ryder Cup but on the flipside, he’s also not too far off.
Thomas is down in 12th as it stands, just 430 points behind Patrick Cantlay in that sixth spot.
With three top tens from five starts already in 2025, Thomas looks like he is finding something close to his best game again.
That form, in addition to the clear respect he has from Keegan Bradley, means there’s a big chance we see ‘JT’ again in a Ryder Cup.
