Justin Thomas is back in PGA Tour action this week as he chases success at the Zozo Championship.
Thomas enjoyed time off recently, but he will return to competitive action at the next event in the FedEx Cup Fall schedule.
Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club plays host to the Zozo Championship, after J.T. Poston emerged victorious at the Shriners Children’s Open.
Thomas is among a star-studded field taking part in the event, with fellow Americans Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa also involved.
The appearances of the duo come after they helped the US Team clinch Presidents Cup success in Montreal last month.

Justin Thomas recalls Tiger Woods display at the 2019 Presidents Cup
Thomas wasn’t involved in the latest edition of the team event, although he shone very brightly for the US Team when they won the 2019 Presidents Cup.
Speaking in his Zozo Championship press conference, he looked back on that successful tournament, having partnered with playing captain Tiger Woods.
“He was playing really, really well,” Thomas said of Woods. “I would say that’s the best I have seen him play of all the times we have played together.

“Just watching him pick his way around Royal Melbourne and shaping shots and hitting balls miles in the air, and hitting it low and running it around. He was in such a focus state and such a zone.
“I was very fortunate to get to watch that live and be his partner. Not only because it was cool to watch but he was playing so well it was going to be hard for him to lose a match. I was on the right end of that as a partner. It was definitely a week and two matches I won’t forget.”

Thomas certainly had a tournament to remember at Royal Melbourne, having played a crucial role in the 16-14 victory for the visitors.
He kicked his superb week off by helping secure the only point for the USA in the opening fourball, with Thomas and Woods defeating Joaquin Niemann and Marc Leishman.
The pair then overcame Hideki Matsuyama and Byeong Hun An in Friday’s foursomes, with Thomas then partnering with Rickie Fowler to beat Haotong Li and Leishman in their fourball match.

Fowler and Thomas then halved their Saturday afternoon foursomes meeting with Leishman and Abraham Ancer as the USA did their best to fight back against the International Team.
Thomas did then suffer a Sunday singles loss to Cameron Smith, but the former had already done more than enough for his side by that stage.
