Justin Thomas’ winless run on the PGA Tour continued in 2024 after the American endured an up-and-down season.

Thomas narrowly made the Tour Championship field after finishing 30th in the FedEx Cup standings after the BMW Championship at Castle Pines.

Thomas would eventually finish T14 at East Lake on 14 under, which marked a relatively positive end to the season.

Unfortunately, the American’s 2024 would end in Atlanta after Jim Furyk snubbed Thomas for the Presidents Cup.

The 31-year-old is enjoying time away from the course and has posted an update of what he’s been up to on Instagram.

Thomas posted several images of him practicing hard on the range and in the gym at Panther National Resort in Florida.

“Just a little bit of life the last few weeks,” Thomas wrote. “Some enjoyable time off, lots of practice, @kolbywayne kicking my tail in the gym, some left-handed golf, even made my first ace at @panthernational!”

Thomas also posted a picture of himself and fellow tour pro Jake Knapp and footage of him hitting balls left-handed.

Justin Thomas showed signs of his former self in 2024

The former world number one certainly showed signs of his former self at times in 2024.

His opening round at The Scottish Open was seriously impressive, as was his first 18 in The Open Championship at Royal Troon.

The issue for Thomas this year was consistency. One good round would be followed by a poor one, which is what happened during the final major of the year on Scotland’s west coast.

If the American can start to piece four rounds together in 2025, then he stands every chance of landing his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills.

And there’s no doubt the golfing world would benefit from Thomas being back to his razor-sharp best.
