Justin Thomas is in the field for the PGA Championship this week, with Quail Hollow playing host to the major championship.

Keegan Bradley has loved Thomas’s success this season, with the latter recently winning the RBC Heritage.

Thomas is now a 16-time winner on the PGA Tour, with two of those triumphs having come at the PGA Championship.

The American lifted the prestigious trophy at Quail Hollow back in 2017, before doing the same at Southern Hills in 2022.

Thomas has been paired with Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa for rounds one and two, with the duo also multiple major champions.

And he has now provided a great insight into Quail Hollow ahead of the tournament, having been mic’d up with his caddie Matt ‘Rev’ Minister during a practice round.

Playing the 10th hole for Titleist, Thomas said: “I tell you what, how it’s drained this well it’s pretty nuts,” with Rev saying: “The greens, I could not get over. You drop the ball and it still makes a noise.”

Thomas replied: “It’s like it hasn’t rained! It’s like everybody’s worst nightmare. It’s going to play 30 yards longer and the greens are still bricks.”

Rev then noted: “But if you have a proper golf ball you will be able to get control of the ball, that’s what it’s about.”

Quail Hollow this week looks set to be a course where the big-hitters can thrive, which will be welcome news for the likes of Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau.

But the weather is also likely to play a huge factor in North Carolina, with the area having been hit by rain early in the week.

And that rain had a big impact on spectators, who were not allowed to attend Monday’s practice round because of the inclement weather.

But Thomas should like his chances of a strong performance given his history and indeed his recent performances on the PGA Tour.
